How do you get a massage at home, Petra?

At home beauty is something my sister does fairly regularly. I shall have to consult her about this sort of thing and browse through her books. I know she is always telling me to relax, which isn't such a bad idea. I just wish I could. There is so much I want to do that isn't what I have to do. I need more time in a day.

Oh, no no. I can't give myself a massage, but my husband gives me wonderful ones once a week or so. When my sisters and our daughters get together, we also sit in a circle and give each other a rub wherever it is tense.

I have a few books like those that my daughter, sister and I use. Here is a recipe from Secrets of the Spas by Catherine Bardey.

Quote:
Green Tea Tonic refreshes, soothes, cleanses and tones the skin.
2 tsp of powdered green tea
1/2 cup boiling water

Steep green tea in boiling water for 10 minutes and allow to cool. Apply tonic to face with cotton or gauze. Use daily for best results.
I modified this to just take any old green tea I have around. I'm not vouching for cleaning as soap and water do a much better job, However, the smell is wonderfully light and refreshing. That is what I get from it, so I could probably just use any great smelling tea.

I recently discovered a beauty secret! Getting laid off one of my jobs so I can sleep more!

The lay-off is temporary, so I'll enjoy it while I can. It is said that we will be back again next month. Keep your fingers crossed.

Plz. note some items may whiten teeth at the cost of soften the enamel e.g, lemon pealing.

For dry hair, I think, better option is coconut oil. Another is Arnica hair oil, a mix of mother tincture of Arnica (Homeopathic) in olive oil is beneficial.
