For the last term I've been working out a protocol (actually two) that would dissolve wood, fungi, and organic soils if need be. The main focus has been on wood and fungi fruiting body dissolutions since that is what my samples are.

For both protocols things are relatively the same. The main difference between the two is how I dissolve the sample, or rather with which acids.

Well, it would appear that I'm going to be a graduate student at Purdue after all. The go ahead from the committee is in, but I've not received the official paperwork yet. Thankfully, I work in the EAS department, so I can find this information out readily.
