Last week I wrote that I had a goal of reaching an endurance level of a 14 minute mile. Well, I did it. It is at the edge of my endurance currently to sustain it, but it isn't as hard as I imagined. This is perhaps because I'm "cheating" and using an elliptical trainer, not running on the treadmill or track. I've heard the elliptical trainers make it easier.
Well, either way, I did it. I'm going to aim to increase that slowly now until I can get to and sustain a 13 minute...

There are some days when I really don't know what I'm doing, how I'm going to do what I need to do, and where I'm going in life. Today is one of those days. I know I want to be a geoarchaeologist and own my own company. The owning my own company part of this dream is stagnant, but occasionally leaps forward a little. Currently, I'm working with a group of amazing people on campus called PSPE Rube Goldberg Team to modify a gumball machine to look like a human torso. The object is to teach little...

At the beginning of this month I moved from a small, small, small apartment to a decently sized one. Actually, we moved to a two bedroom that has a lot of room in it. It takes about 5 - 7 steps depending on which direction one goes to even get across the kitchen. It is great.

I started out this summer with a simple goal: Get ready for graduate school. Easier said than done, I realise.
As I start into my foray of learning everything about graduate school, I realise I know nothing. I don't know how to do a proper literature review, about my topic at hand, about the history of my topic, nor anything about the lab procedures that I may encounter. I need to learn Italian because my field research and much of the information will be in Italian. I need to brush...

Time management is not my thing. I have tried for years now to get some order to my chaotic life, but every time I do, something inevitably throws it off.
This year, it was my classes. One class has a professor that is disorganised as all hell, so that makes me not be able to organise things well. That class's notes are non-linear, completely random, and seem to have no coherence.
My other class would be easy, if not for the strange groupmates I get from time to time....
